Contract Lift

3b crane hire understand that many customers do not have experience of hiring cranes and the obligations and risks associated with crane operations.

In this situation we are able to offer a CPA Contract Lift service to ensure that the lifting operation is planned, supervised and executed in a safe and efficient manner every time.
By hiring on a Contract Lift basis this means that 3b crane hire is responsible for all aspects of the planning and execution of the lift and will provide the following:

  • Pre lift site visit
  • A certified crane plus any associated lifting equipment
  • The Appointed Person (the person who has overall responsibility that the lifting operation is carried out safely abiding by LOLER 1998 regulations and BS7121 guidelines)
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Other qualified operatives as required to carry out the lift safely as identified in the Risk Assessment
  • Traffic and pedestrian management as required

3b crane hire will also provide the following insurance cover under a CPA Contract Lift:

  • loss of or damage to plant and equipment caused solely by the owner’s negligence in the performance of the lifting contract;
  • loss of or damage to third party property caused solely by the owner’s negligence in the performance of the lifting contract subject to:
    – a maximum liability of £50,000 in respect of goods lifted;
    – a maximum liability of £5 million in respect of loss of or damage to third party property or death/injury to third party persons. (These limits can be increased on request).
